This is a solid, good sounding bluetooth speaker system from Bose that provides a surprising amount of high quality sound and it can play quite loudly. Enough volume here to provide music in a good sized room easily. The perfect portable party speaker due to its ability to really crank. The speaker can pair to and remember 6 different bluetooth devices. If you try to add more devices, it will "forget" one of the others to make room for the new device. Of course you can easily re-pair the forgotten device at a later time. There is no remote control with this speaker so that may not appeal to some people but overall this is a sold, well-made spekar that provides robust performance. You can also hook up an mp3 player via the headphone output using the provided mini-plug cable. I also own the Altec-Lansing InMotion bluetooth speaker and it is about 0 less and provides in my opinion better mid and high range sound quality as well ad better stereo separation although the Bose has superior bass. sound reproduction. You really do need to listen to these before making a purchasing decision in my opinion.

The Bose sound link is an awesome bit of kit! Before buying I compared it to the logitech mini boombox (£59 in comet) which sounded tinny and weak, and the jawbone jambox (£116 in currys) which sounded good but did not get loud enough for me! The Bose (£249 in comet ,plus a whopping on the spot £49 discount...not sure why, but did help to secure the sale!) sounds incredible and loud enough for an outside party. You can buy a remote but logically you control the vol and tracks from your mp3 player. You can also change the colour of the cover if you have more money than sense lol. I was disappointed with play.com for advertising the sony RDP X30 as having a 6hr battery life, when it has NO battery capacity! it is only mains wired! Sounds great theo, but not as portable as i wanted it.

This is a complete OUTDOOR review of the AWESOME Bose Soundlink Wireless Mobile Speaker. There are already several Indoor reviews on the web. I thought that an OUTDOOR REVIEW would be very helpful for those of you still on the fence about purchasing this product. The review covers the Bluetooth Transmitting Distance also. ( 60+ Feet ! ) 10-13-2011: I have just discovered that when using the AUX IN on rear of speaker ( Hard Wired from Source w/Included 3mm Cord ) the speaker has the capability of producing a little better quality. This is due to the fact that when using the AUX IN from a source like a LapTop with Beats Audio or similar High Quality Sound Processing Hardware / Software the Sound Card Tone Controls ( Bass-Treeble ) can be processed through the AUX IN. Whereas when using the Bluetooth connection the Sound Card Tone Controls ( Bass-Treeble ) are not processed. However I must state the sound quality via Bluetooth is STILL AWESOME !!!!! 11-04-2011: Unfortunately now I have some UGLY to report. :( Thank God that I purchased the 4 year replacement plan from Best Buy ( ) I had to take this one back. It stopped recieving the bluetooth signal from my Laptop. Nor would it reconize my son's Android phone. The Geeks @ BB couldn't get it working either. Bad Reciever I guess. Got a new one.
