TEDxOverlake - Merilee Wilmore - An Informal Education

TEDxOverlake - Merilee Wilmore - An Informal Education Video Clips. Duration : 10.27 Mins.

Merilee is a Naturalist and Mentor currently working for Wilderness Awareness School in Duvall, WA. She is a graduate of the Anake Outdoor School at Wilderness Awareness School and spent a year as an Apprentice Instructor for the adult program through their Anake Leadership Program. While Merilee has a background in counseling and special education, she feels most alive and at home teaching in the woods and along the beaches of the Northwest. She is passionate about continually deepening her knowledge and connection to the natural world, through wondering, bird watching, animal tracking, harvesting wild foods and preparing herbal remedies. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
