*** Starts grainy, but it will improve *** This is a portable stereo you can use to power an outdoor speaker system like in your patio, deck or around your pool, or take into your garage and hook up some bookshelf speakers. I recommend buying a high power unit and with a remote control which will make it easier to use from far. The power supply from a discarded computer works fine, the yellow wire is 12v (you usually have to connect the green wire to any black wire to bypass the switch on the computer case). You could use the larger battery box and install car speakers on the sides of the box to make a portable boom box. There are other youtube video's showing you how to do this with plastic tool boxes. However, those won't be really waterproof. ***** UPDATE - HOW TO ADD A POWER SWITCH 11/10/12 ***** *** An improvement I've made was to install a switch to the box. I went to radio shack and bought a simple water proof switch, be sure to buy a switch with 2 connections rather than 3 (it's easier to hook up). There is plenty of room on the box for drilling a small hole for the switch. One of switch connections (doesn't matter which one) is attached to the power supply's green wire (there is always just ONE green wire) and the other connection to one of the ground (black) wires.
