Working alongside BASS and other partners, the TRCP is launching a new media event in 2013: the Freshwater Media Summit. Held in conjunction with the 2013 Bassmaster Classic in Tulsa, Okla., the Freshwater Media Summit convenes a diverse cadre of journalists, experts and anglers to discuss conservation issues important to America's fishing and hunting heritage. The event focuses on water issues upon which our outdoor economies and traditions rely. Topics on the agenda include wetland conservation and conversion, the future of water, and water quality and the future of bass angling. Comprised of a daylong series of speakers and panel discussions on Feb. 21 and a field outing on the morning of Feb., 23, the TRCP media summit is an important tool for outdoor communicators in all variety of markets. The event is a collaborative effort of the TRCP and a diverse array of partner organizations including BASS, National Wildlife Federation, Ducks Unlimited, Izaak Walton League of America and the Conservation Coalition of Oklahoma.
